Plaza Bonita: Delight in Authentic Mexican Seafood and Salads in Phoenix

I recently moved from San Diego to AZ and we were looking for a sit down Mexican restaurant that was like our favorite in CA. This place absolutely exceeded our expectations and it’s right around the corner. We have been there 6 times and everything has been amazing. Excellent service, food, and ambiance. Love it! We absolutely love the Mexican shrimp cocktail…. Which I have found hard to beat from my San Diego place. This one actually beats it!

Been coming here for years. Love this place. The food is excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food portions are substantial., you will not leave hungry and the prices are fair. Decent beer selection and plenty of spirits to select from. We'll be back... again.

I had an amazing experience at this Mexican restaurant! Their fajitas were absolutely delicious, with tender and flavorful meat, sizzling hot on the skillet. And the fried ice cream was the perfect sweet ending to the meal. This place is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Mexican cuisine.

Been coming here for years. The staff and crew are consistent and friendly. They know my order and even indulge my desire to learn more español. Great food. Healthy options. Good salsa.

Stopped by today around lunch time to a nearly full restaurant. Luckily we snagged one of the last booths because we were starving. Our server came over pretty quickly to take our drink order and give us some time to look over the menu. Today we went with the enchilada Suiza and the Tres Amigos. While we waited we ordered a side of guacamole with the chips and salsa. The guacamole had good flavor, but was a bit over blended for me. Our food came out pretty fast and my enchilada were delicious. The chicken was well seasoned and everything was delicious. The Tres Amigos was so huge and while filling of flavor it was definitely too much to finish ha ha. Location was clean. There is also a bar if you don’t want to wait for a table.

This is becoming one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. I love mole but most places add flour, so I can't have t because of my allergy to gluten. Here they make the mole how it's supposed to be made, without flour and not too sweet. Their margaritas are delicious! The atmosphere is great. I was there for Mexican Independence Day and they had mariachi!

Excellent experience on our first visit here! Awesome decor, great food and service. Chips & salsa were both very good (thin chips) and we each had a shredded chicken (tinga) burrito.

I recently dined at Plaza Bonita Mexican restaurant and had an absolutely fantastic experience! The highlight of my meal was the Mexican Trio, which included shrimp, chicken, and carne asada. Everything was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The shrimp were succulent and seasoned just right, the chicken was tender and juicy, and the carne asada was perfectly grilled with a smoky, savory taste. The portion sizes were generous, and the presentation was beautiful. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I can't wait to go back to enjoy more of the menu.
